It's been said that 'Software is eating the world'. Software developers the world over have been improving quality of experience in every industry - except one: Commercial Insurance. Why? There is no stack to build on. Why not? It is a harder problem than you might think.
Join us in building the modern insurance stack.
Working on a talented but nimble team, your decisions impact the product directly.
Helping people, help people - it feels good. Build the stack that unlocks an industry.

An enormous bias to act with urgency and a deep sense of responsibility for outcomes.
Rewriting an industry involves working hard at solving hard problems.
We lean on each other’s strengths to succeed and grow.
Say what you mean, mean what you say, and don’t say it mean.
Hardware purchase credit to put toward getting you set up with the best gear to hone your craft, as well as a work-from-home stipend to optimize your home workspace.
We're distributed. We'll support your workspace wherever you are. Relocation to Toronto is also welcome, and we'll support it, but not mandatory.
We want you to recharge and restore when you need to. We have a generous paid time off policy and we encourage everyone to take the time they need to find the balance in their lives.
We believe that everyone at Briza should own their work, literally. Get on board our growing startup early!
We offer a generous and flexible parental leave policy, along with a child care benefit.
We encourage our team to learn new skills and technologies to improve their work and themselves.
Briza prides itself on being able to write quality software fast. Our technology stack is designed to enable developers to do their best work so they can spend more time creating and shipping, instead of firefighting.
The Briza's API is a Node.js app written in TypeScript – a service-oriented monolith. Our software has great test coverage that runs on pull requests using GitHub Actions.
Briza's software is hosted on AWS. Fargate manages the containers and their automatic scaling. For Postgres we use RDS. And all of this exists as infrastructure-as-code through Terraform. We use Datadog for observability and monitoring.
